You're about to have some fun
So you wanna learn to surf, hey? Or simply stand on your own two feet up on that paddleboard you’ve been eyeing off. One is active, one is calm, but both are worthy of your time as you decide what to do with all of your precious time this summer. Surfing noobs, we can promise you that getting in the water and onto that board is half the battle, but a friendly instructor or half day course will have you cruising through those waves like Keanu in Point Break faster than you can shaka at the guy next to you.
For the SUP-ers, you don’t need a lesson if you don’t want it, it’s a lot easier than it looks, but there are so many beautiful places to paddle around, so a guide can help. Or just rent your own for a few hours and cruise around: your call.
There are literal heaps of these epic experiences from our mates over at Redballoon to choose between, in another heap of locations.

Paddle & Learn
If you already know your way around a SUP, then have a look for a cultural tour around somewhere new. We spotted a few tours of local areas by First Nations guides that look pretty special.
Surf Camp
The serious-about-surfing bunch can go all out on an actual sleepaway surf camp in a dreamy location like Byron Bay.
